Saga has been one of my favorite comics for a long time. And I have had so much fun lately recreating characters in my own style. So… here’s this one.
Isabel and Lying Cat
Pretty quickly after finishing the pencils for this piece I bought my first cintiq. This is my first full blown attempt at digital inking.

Pencils and Digital Inks
This is the Clicker piece, both finished pencils and then inks. The inking process was both fun and challenging. I found the challenge to be trying to preserve the moments i liked in the pencils when inking.

I’d love to say this piece was inspired by something grandiose. But to be honest, I just wanted to draw a Raptor. Somewhere during the process I noticed she looked a little playful and decided to lean into it.
CLEVER GIRL
This piece was a really fun exercise in movement for me. I got the idea from dancing alone in my kitchen while cooking to look up reference of dancers. As far as the background, I wanted to try and communicate rhythm in some way.
DANCING IN THE KITCHEN
This piece is heavily inspired by Arkham Horror: The Card Game. It is easily my favorite game currently. I wanted to draw the movie poster for the first set/ story of the game. The Night of the Zealot.

Sorry upfront for the Stranger Things spoilers, but Vecna had such a cool design I had to play around with it. I had just been doing a portrait study and this was a really fun test.
